Verde are an independent band from Long Island, NY and they play Hard Rock and Alternative Metal music for no good reason other than they like to.
They formed in a garage and gradually worked thier way to playing venues in New York from Manhattan to Montauk. The band broke when thier singer broke his spine in a terrible car accident. While he was lucky to be alive, he was told he would never walk again. After years of hard work he was back on his feet (with his now trademark cane) and Verde reunited to play a cancer benefit show.
Since then, the band has been playing shows in NYC, Brooklyn, Queens and the rest of Long Island, has licensed songs to major outlets, is on over 40 radio stations world wide and has fans across 6 continents (Antarctica is yet to get down with them).
They are currently playing shows in NY and working on their 2nd studio release.
Verde's sounds tends to remain rock solid. The only other thing is that, though they are very good tracks, songs that tend to have been influenced off traditional RHCP-style. With tracks such as 'Power' and 'Phoenix', however, the band makes up for it in successfully mixing their own sound-style.
After the opening track, it’s quite a delight to listen though the hectic hard rock style sound of Verde. The lightning-fast slapping bass from Dan Howell is very impressive, whilst the vocalist Steve Blair gives his all to keep up. Guitarist Ron Labriola and drummer Sean Alley are also amazing players.
